A Fijian Adventure Awaits

Finally time for a gap year to Fiji!

sunny 28 °C

It's been several weeks of rest following the completion of our July 2010 Savuna water project. Think Pacific's expedition leaders have had time to wind down and relax in the picture postcard scenery of the South Seas and assess the most recent gap project on Moturiki. But without the fun and adventure of leading gap year students to the beautiful Lomaiviti Islands, frankly, a little boredom has started to hit and the anticipation is building to begin a new expedition in Fiji!

Each gap year project brings new experiences, new achievements, new Fijian friends and the beauty of seeing Fiji through the eyes of fresh faced gap year volunteers as they immerse into the local culture and the Kaiviti way of life.

The September project has some huge aims ahead in Uluibau village; building a community centre from foundations to full completion, establishing sports coaching, leading health awareness initiatives, leading kindergarten classes, teaching primary school students and organising a play with the village kids. Not to mention treks, sailing and white water rafting.

it's going to be a busy and massively rewarding ten weeks ahead.

We can't wait to get started. Which is good, because today is arrival day. Our September 2010 gapyear team are about to say Bula to Fiji!
